Curios about your ‘WHY?’ Your Purpose? Your Calling?

Tune in to the Journey2Worthy Podcast to learn what’s important to you and how to get clear on your impact!

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.

Mark Twain

This quote is lovely isn’t it, but if you’re like me, this is the type of comment that made you feel even more lost. The epic search for purpose…what am I supposed to do with my life? What is my calling? I hated these questions for a long time, because I didn’t have a clue.

I was always jealous of the people who knew what they wanted to be when they grew up!

Why couldn’t I be the one with clarity?

Don’t Fret! I get it it, it’s stressful! BUT Before getting too caught up with where you are going, you may want to pause and start getting to know who you are!

Tune in to this week’s episode to learn the questions that have helped me get to know myself. Even join me for a guided visualization to help you get clear on what’s important to you!

The life journey often starts with looking in as Jay Shetty, former Monk and Youtube Influencer, says. Jay says it’s time to ‘STOP Searching’ for purpose, and ‘Start Aligning’ with it!

A monk is simply a traveler, except the journey is inward.

Want to create your own magical mission statement….TUNE IN!

OR (as a sample) Answer these questions:

  • Who Am I Now?
  • What kind of person do I want to be seen as?
  • What’s important to me?
  • What does my future look like?
  • What would my future self tell me to focus on?
  • What would I hope people say about me when I’m not in the room?

These are just a few questions that help me get clear on my purpose.

You can also check out Simon Sinek, Author, Speaker, Blogger, Influencer, & Leader – and his easy to use template listed right here from his book ‘Find Your Why’ that helps to create a mission statement getting clear on 2 key components:

  1. What is your Contribution to those around you? This influences how you show up in the world.
  2. The impact of your contribution.

THE TEMPLATE:
TO ___________________ SO THAT _____________.
TO Your Contribution, SO THAT Your Impact.
Check out Simon Sinek’s Why Statement here:

To inspire people to do the things that inspire them so that, together, we can change our world.

Simon Sinek

SO, As we see here, 1. Simon’s contribution is ‘to inspire people to do things that inspire them’ – if his actions don’t do this, then they don’t make sense to his statement, and thus are not matched up with his purpose or ‘WHY.’

AND 2. Simon’s impact is that ‘together, we can change our world’ – if the result of his actions don’t help create a connection between him and others to create change in the world, then again it is not matched to his purpose.
